#MeToo: FWICE issues show-cause notice to Alok Nath and Sajid Khan

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) said on Monday that it will issue show cause notice to actor Alok Nath and actor-director Sajid Khan, who has been accused of sexual harassment and violation.

In a statement, FWICE said that a show cause notice to Alok will be sent as a response to its affiliate associate Indian Film and Television Director Association (IFTDA), was not "satisfactory", and because Sajid did not respond to the IFTDA letter Some female members of the given industry are being accused of sexual harassment and molestation.

"IFTDA is committed to supporting victims of sexual harassment with FFICE, despite the gender, with our full strength and strength," the statement said.

This step follows a meeting between FWICE's top executives and members of IFTDA.

According to Vishakha guidelines, a separate 'Special Prevention committee' will be closely monitored for each project house to closely monitor such incidents on their projects (film / serial). Has been made mandatory to make. This committee will help the victims to come out with such issues openly and completely eliminate this kind of malpractice from the industry.

The statement said, "The Committee will extend full support to the victim to proceed further with the matter and all legal guidance and assistance will be given to the victim till the decision of the case is not awarded by the court."

It comes in between the #MeToo movement, under which women have come forward to share their unbearable experiences with people in the posts of power. Writer-director Vinta Nanda had named and embarrassed Alok of sexual harassment 19 years ago, while Sajid was named by many women for his unacceptable behavior.
